Heard the one about the $70-an-hour autoworker bringing down the Big Three? Read the truth in Jonathan Cohn's New Republic article. Another Big Lie from talk radio -- and I've been getting the robot emails -- is that the subprime debacle was caused by the Clinton administration forcing banks to lend to minorities and the poor. Not true, according to the Bush administration's regulator. Tell your right-wing friends and relatives.

The funny thing is, I recently (last few weeks) came across a story in either the Arizona Republic, USA Today, or the New York Times (most likely one of the first two) which cited labor costs for the Big Three at about $9.00 per hour and those for Nissan (I think) at $7xx per hour.
This was so much at odds with the usual figures, and the two figures were so close, that I clipped the story. Now, I can't find the clipping anywhere, nor can I find this story anywhere online using Google or even private databases.
Can anyone point me toward it, or narrow my search a little?
